Halloween

I have to admit Halloween is probably my least favorite "Holiday" out of the entire year. As the years have passed it has just become more and more evil and less about the fun of going door to door in a SAFE neighborhood with your family and friends.
Despite all that stuff, Evelyn has put a different twist onto things. I enjoy very much taking her to the pumpkin patch and watching her little eyes light up with fascination. We have yet to take her around any neighborhood to trick-or-treat but we do have a local event that we have attended every year. They close the whole downtown area and all the stores hand out candy to the kids. It gets crowded but I think its worth all the commotion. So far we have been able to dress her up in whatever we want her to be. The first year I looked online for a costume and was completely floored at how unoriginal and EXPENSIVE baby/toddler costumes are. As a result of all that, I pulled out the craft box and went for it.

The first year Evelyn was a Hippy

The Second an Owl

This year she will be a Cookie Monster

I am hoping our little boy arrives a few days before Halloween so I can join Jason and Evelyn. Otherwise I will be to pregnant to walk or sitting on an ice pack at home with a newborn.
Oh the joys!

I can't believe this will be our third Halloween with Ev. Crazy how quickly time passes.

Anticipating Vincent's Arrival

The "Nesting" phase of this pregnancy has definitely arrived. In the wee hours of the morning, when sleep is impossible to get, I think of all the things I could be cleaning or organizing. Today I organized Evelyn's closet, yet again. Wiped any surface that could be wiped in her room with Melaleuca cleaner.

(if your a mom and don't have this stuff, you NEED it)

The bathrooms have been organized from top to bottom and I'm pretty sure we have enough toilet paper to last us a couple months. The kitchen gets cleaned about 2-3 times a day...last weekend Jason told me I have OCD but in reality if one dish is left in the sink, I swear I can smell it. The broom is left out now because I got sick of taking it out and putting it back in the closet. I have purchased 3 bottles of bleach in the past 3 weeks because I LOVE the smell of it and we keep running out.
(if febreze had a bleach scented plug-in, I would totally buy it)

So now that the house is organized as much as I can have it organized, lists are starting to appear throughout the house of what needs to be packed for the hospital bags. Now that I think about it, I will need to pack a bag for Evelyn too! So much to do with only 5 weeks left!! I need to start tackling it all before I get any BIGGER and lose the little amount of energy I do have.
35 weeks

Pera*dise Saga

Hello All! First time blogger...so bear with me.

I have been sitting here with the computer on my lap for the last 10 minutes or so looking at a blank screen, not really sure where to start with our story.

First time I saw Jason? Our first date? The proposal? Our wedding?

You see, Jason was actually a part of my life for almost three years before we started dating. I worked as a waitress at Downtown Brew and he came in almost every Wednesday night for .25 cent hot wings and pitchers of beer with his buddies. I looked forward to them coming in weekly, not only because they tipped really well but because he and his buddies were comical and always had fun stories to tell.
I was dating someone at the time so I never really looked at any of them as potential boyfriends, we all kind of built this weird friendship over the years. I would share stories, goals, complaints and they would do the same. Outside of the Brew we never socialized nor did we ever run into each other much. The days, weeks, months went by and the summer of 2007 arrived. The summer my life changed for the better! The boyfriend and I split that summer. I'm almost positive it had happened over a weekend and the following Wednesday I had vented to Jason and his friends about it all, naturally. Well, that Friday night Jason had arrived with a different set of friends I had never met before. They were his motorcycle pals.
That was THE night, the night it had all really started.
Jason strolled in all "Joe Cool" with his full leathers on. Don't know what I'm talking about? Let me explain. I guess these leathers are made to wear for safety in case of a motorcycle crash. Same kind of concept as a wet suit but made of leather....black leather, that hugs every single muscle, butt cheek and ummm other things (I'm sure you can use your imagination LOL) Okay, lets keep this PG.
Anyways, that night Jason had never looked so stinkin' handsome!
I may or may not have reminded him that I was currently single...somehow he was picking up what I was throwin' down and emailed me through Myspace the next day. Yes, Myspace. We went on a date later the next week and talked the whole time throughout dinner. Pretty soon we had rarely gone a day or two without seeing each other. He was my best friend in just a matter of months. Well at four months to be exact, Jason proposed. It was wonderful, anything and everything I had ever imagined that day being. 8 months later we were married!

August 16, 2008

The wedding was great. We had such a magical time with our family and friends.
Before we even got married we both knew we wanted children and had made a plan to start trying for a baby on our year Anniversary.

For our Anniversary we took a cruise to Mexico. It was full of drinks, sun, food, adventures and more drinks. Needless to say we had a great time and we definitely will go again.
Well we got pregnant on this cruise and 9 months later we had a beautiful, little girl named Evelyn.

She is 2 now and our lives are so full of happiness and love. We couldn't have asked for a better child, we are truly blessed. She is so smart, talks ALL day (everyday) is counting past 10, knows most of her shapes, has a couple colors down and definitely keeps her mommy and daddy on their toes.

We Love You SO Much Evelyn

This family of 3 will soon become a family of 4. God has blessed us with a little boy! We have less than 6 weeks left until his expected arrival date. November 2, 2012.
This mommy is SO ready to meet him!!!
