Daily Grind

Seriously, the struggle is REAL!

Obviously, this is "THE" year of the infamous Crop Top
Do I own one? Not a chance.
It is not that I don't think they are super adorable, I DO! I really do....

But this momma (whom likes to think she gave birth just a month ago) has major MOM hips going on. I try on a crop top and it looks awful..the saggy mom boob barely clears the bottom of the damn thing and then I'm left with this midriff (more like muffin top) showing. So gross, how did I let myself get to this point!?

I then find myself thinking, "I need to workout more, cut bad foods out of my diet. Oh, I have an idea...if I move as much as my kids move, I will lose weight, right!?"
The working out has stuck around longer than usual this time around but the diet part is SO hard.
(Why do I love food so much and BEER)
I love breads, all kinds. I don't want to substitute it with a seed tortilla that tastes like cardboard. I want the foods I put in my mouth to taste yummy!
Wahhhhhhhh

I will be healthy, not just to look good in a crop top but to be ALIVE for my kids. Show them how you are supposed to live. I don't want them to struggle with obesity and able to participate in fun activities. I need to do this for my family, for myself.

So now the journey begins. Find recipes that are not only tasty but nutritious!

If you have any on hand, send them my way!

Changes

I seriously can't believe its been 5 months since my last post! My goal is to post an update every Thursday/Friday from this point forward. I would like to get away from Facebook as much as possible. It used to be a place for family and friends to keep in touch but now it has turned into such an annoying business outlet for everyone.
(SUPER annoying, even I am guilty of selling things)

What have we been doing for 5 months!? How does time go by so quickly?

The girls getaway was a BLAST! We played a game called "Cards Against Humanity", absolutely HILARIOUS. (its on my list to purchase) Enjoyed some cocktails, sun and lots of conversations. I haven't seen most of them since then, I miss them all dearly but thats life and we are all SO busy!

Disneyland was magical! I want to take the kiddos back every year. Disney World is now on our
"to-do" list.

Other big events...my sister is getting married this November!! The past three weeks I've been busy making decorations for the big day. I seriously couldn't be any happier for her! Her fiancé completes, grounds her and I love him. Only a few more weeks and then she is off to Georgia!!!

We just got back from our annual Ventura beach house trip. So much fun and relaxing was done. The kids were in their element. The beach is where we love to be. Jason surfed, took Evelyn out on the kayak twice (She LOVED it) A baby octopus was caught (and set free) a couple baby sharks were fished (and set free) Already planning next years trip!

There's a very, brief overview of our busy lives!
